Interactive Learning Resource Topic: Inflation in relation to Economic

Identify components of the Interactive Learning Resource that might be missing (e.g., appropriate outcomes, alignment, interactivity, inclusivity, technology use and rationale, presentation, grammar, spelling, citations, etc.).

– The learning outcomes are straight forward, but perhaps they could elaborate a little more on each outcome as it might be a little lacking.
– The link to the interactive activity is not working, please check that out.
– The link to “An overview of your plans to design for the inclusion of diverse learners” does not work either.
– Minor errors with capitalisation and formatting that can be fixed easily when overlooking each and every page related.

Provide a summary of The Interactive Learning Resource’s strengths and weaknesses. Draw out specific examples from your peers’ work to justify your feedback.

Strengths
– I love that the first thing in your ILR is a video that allows captions in multiple languages to help all ethnic students understand the video that introduces the ILR.
– Learning outcomes are clear and concise.
– The Sub-topics and Activity is a great place to look at for definitions and concepts that gives a good contextual understanding of the course.
– Good Technology Choices to use in the course!

Weakness
– There are a few capitalisation errors such as the title in “An overview of plans”, which can be fixed easily.
– Very minor issue which I would fix is to not use words like don’t or can’t and change them to do not or can not. Just for formality.
– Minor formatting error that I’d implement but does not need to be changed is combining these two lines in Course Overview, “A description and rationale for the learning theory, A description and rationale for your chosen learning design, A description of your learning context” to something like “A description and rationale for the learning theory, learning design, and learning context” as they are all on the same page.
– They have a plan for the Assessment Plan, but no mention of a specific assessment. I think it would be nice to reiterate the assessments on the page so students can check back anytime.

Provide general, specific, and practical recommendations to your peers on how to improve their Interactive Learning Resource.

– When discussing the learning theory, cognitivism focuses more on mental processes such as attention, memory, and problem-solving, rather than hands-on learning. So, it may be helpful to clarify how your interactive resource applies cognitivism in the context.
– When discussing the learning design, you could benefit from providing more detail or examples to explain how direct instruction is used in your interactive resource.
– When discussing the learning context, specific information on the demographics of the target audience, such as the age range or educational background could be helpful.
– The Assessment Plan can be planned out better talking about the specific assessments.
– All in all, a great course to learn about the Introduction to Economics as I’ve enjoyed the explanation in the topics and activity page.
– Very well formatted and looks appealing, just some formatting issues here and there.
